Ergonomic Job Analysis
Ergonomic Job Analysis
WorkSmart focuses its Work Risk Analysis process on two key factors in a workplace; the physical demands required to perform a job and the ergonomics risk present in the individual tasks. It is through these two job analysis techniques that WorkSmart guides its clients to the most appropriate solutions. A job demands and description analysis gathers key information about how tasks are performed and the demands they place on your employees. With this information, a company can make sure they hire the right employees through Pre-Employment Screens or get an injured worker back to work as quickly and safely as possible through On-Site Medical Management or supervised care at our local clinic.
  • An ergonomics Work Risk Analysis evaluates the level of physical risk present in a job and is based on industry-tested and scientifically validated risk assessment tools. For jobs with unacceptable risk levels, solutions are developed that may include:
    - Engineering controls that affect equipment and process
    - Administrative controls that affect management practices
    - Work-practice controls that affect how the employee completes the work
    - Wellness programs to address potential injuries quickly and inexpensively
Uniquely, WorkSmart offers a simple and effective approach to meet many of your needs simultaneously.
Pre-employment Screen Services
Pre-employment Screen Services
It is especially frustrating to hire a new employee only to have them quickly report an injury. Whether they were injured at a previous job and failed to inform you, or they were never able to perform the job safely, the cost to your organization is the same.
  • Through our Pre-Employment Screen Services we make sure you hire employees that are not prone to injury. Our programs are tailored and data driven, helping you to:
  • Balance the competing needs of safety and recruiting
  • Avoid legal risk,
  • Obtain the highest return on investment, and
  • Minimize workers' compensation payments for pre-existing conditions.
WorkSmart has protected our clients by rejecting employees who can't perform the job safely, protecting them and you.
Training and Education Programs
Training and Education Programs
Ergonomics Awareness Training Knowledge is one of the most powerful and simple solutions in ergonomics. To achieve commitment, buy-in, support, and participation, a company needs to educate both management and employees on how to contribute to an effective ergonomics program.  WorkSmart uses expert service providers to provide simple, down-to-earth, and functional information. We work with management, helping them to understand and develop a solid foundation in ergonomics. We work with employees, helping them to understand ergonomics and how to simply help themselves. All personnel training is specifically tailored to fit the needs of your company, depending on who is being trained and the type of work environment you have. Body Mechanics Training Whether it is sitting in an expensive ergonomics chair, or working at a height adjustable assembly workstation, the critical piece of the puzzle for these ergonomic solutions is the employee. Understanding how to use equipment and how to safely perform a task is a fundamental component of an ergonomics program. WorkSmart does not simply provide generic training programs for a workplace, but instead works to customize these programs to fit your company’s needs. To do so, we (1) analyze your jobs to determine if any engineering control modifications can be implemented, (2) work with employees and supervisors to determine best practices, and (3) develop training to fit your specific situation. With this approach, we implement a solution that is tailored to you every time.
